In 2008 I found myself constantly challenged with understanding social media beyond the use of facebook. Blogging, which seemed liked a simple thing to some in the industry was a minefield to me. Financially challenged I could access free websites but didn’t have the knowledge or confidence to delve into creating my own site, until that is, I received an invitation to join the Dominica Diaspora ‘Ning’ network run by Diane Corriette.  Diane’s guidance use on the use of the site were brilliant. Within a short time I’d not only set up my network www.blackfilmsociety.ning.com using Ning, but I’d created my own blog also www.blackfilmsociety.blogspot.com.

I began sourcing the net and literally spent the best part of year (day & night) understanding these social media sites, and templates.  Long story short I now run five on-line networks using Ning, blog regularly, built my own website www.gabrielmediainternationalcom using Wix.com and will shortly be attaining two lifelong ambitions – the launch of my own TV Channel and Shopping Mall – both on-line!  Believe it or not I have alot more to learn and have reason to be very excited as Diane has agreed to do a case-study on my company.

I have always believed in residual income and passionate about earning money whilst I sleep and carrying my business in a laptop! Now, not only am I making my mark, I’ve inspired others and very confident about my future as one of the leaders in Social Marketing, and it’s all thanks to Diane Corriette.
