About me

I was the operator. Now I'm out front.

I'm Diane Corriette, and for most of my career I was the operator, the person behind the scenes who ran everything. I built other people's websites, systems and online presence while they stood at the front. I was good at it, and it paid well but I wanted to build my own product.

So I learned to code and became a Django Software Developer. I built Djangify, the system my sites run on, with AI as my assistant. Now I'm the one out front, showing how a small business can use AI to sell digital products and support their day-to-day work.

What I do

Three things. All of them real.

Developer and Builder

I build with Python, Django, Flask, and TailwindCSS. My focus is clean, self-hosted, offline-friendly tools: software people can actually own, not rent. I build and maintain projects under the Djangify account on GitHub.

Founder of Djangify

Djangify is a digital eCommerce Builder for small business owners who sell knowledge, expertise and digital products. Available as managed hosting or a one-time self-hosted purchase. Built so creators own their shop, their data, and their profits, with no platform taking a cut of every sale.

Personal Growth Coach

I am a Master Practitioner of NLP and worked as a life coach for many years. Now I use that knowledge to create niche sites and sell digital products that focus on topics like intentional living and overcoming negative self-talk.

The path

Building online since before most people called it that.

I've been here a long time. I've built things, sold things, learned things, and started again when I needed to.

  1. 2007

    Came online

Started selling products and building websites, and going to internet marketing seminars to work out how digital business actually fits together.

  2. 2009

Went professional: WordPress and digital marketing

Started building with WordPress, first as a blogger, then putting up sites for clients. Built a social network for the Dominican diaspora that grew to over 8,000 members before selling it. Ran membership sites, workshops, and talked to audiences about blogging and online business.

  3. 2010

Workshop: University of West Indies, Dominica

Gave a 90-minute workshop to authors and writers on how to use the internet to promote their books, covering blogging, video, and social media marketing.

  4. 2014

Diploma in Digital Marketing, Digital Marketing Institute

Put years of practical knowledge on paper with a professional qualification in digital marketing and SEO. I have kept that knowledge current with every major algorithm update since. Verify credential

  5. 2017

Sold up. Deleted everything. Stepped back.

After years of building for other people, I sold my WordPress client list, deleted my entire social media presence, and stepped back. A deliberate clean break. I worked part-time, and with existing clients too, sometimes, when they asked.

  6. 2023

    Retraining as a software developer

Enrolled in a year long Full Stack Software Development Diploma, a deliberate, focused decision to get the formal skills that matched what I was already doing intuitively. My focus: eCommerce.

  7. 2024

    Graduated with Merit. Started building.

Graduated Full Stack Software Developer (eCommerce) with Merit in March 2024. Verify credential Built Stream English, an eCommerce site with course facilities, and started building other tools (bookkeeping software, lead generation software), while continuing to learn Django.

  8. 2025

    Built Djangify

After building a few eCommerce sites, I got tired of starting from scratch each time. It was better to have one system that builds sites automatically. With Claude.ai as my assistant, I built my own digital eCommerce Builder called Djangify. It has grown into a place to run an independent digital business, and I run my own sites on it.

  9. 2026

Marketing Djangify and my own sites

Building my authority and visibility from scratch to help market and promote Djangify. Also continue to sell digital products and micro-apps, building with the help of Claude Code.

Whether you're a creator looking to own your digital business, or someone who found their way here from a search, welcome. Here is where to go next.

The human bit

The things that don't fit neatly on a CV.

My parents were from Dominica, a small island in the Caribbean, and that heritage shaped how I think about community, about showing up for people, and about building things that actually belong to the people who use them. The social network I built in 2009 was for the Dominican diaspora. When you want to connect people who are scattered across the world and far from home, you build something real or you don't bother.

I'm an INFJ. The profile describes someone with a deep internal passion, who is stimulated by reflective thought and an enormous amount of empathy, and who moves through life with a clear sense of their values. That's accurate. It's also why I coach as well as build. The two things aren't separate for me.

I write. I have flash fiction and poetry going back years, self-published ebooks on self-confidence, paperback notebooks on Amazon, and GCSE study books. I also sell non-fiction. Writing and building are both just different ways of making something from nothing, and I've never really been able to stop doing either.

From My Archive

Two recordings from earlier in my life. The first is an interview from August 2008 about why I started Dominican Diaspora, an online community that helped people reconnect. The second is a short extract from a talk I gave to authors at the University of West Indies Dominica in August 2010.

It's mainly the reconnection, the reconnection of a community.
